About Us

St Mark’s Day Service provides social education and day care for autistic people with learning disabilities who are experiencing emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Our philosophy is:

  • to create a safe and secure environment with appropriate boundaries
  • to provide a personalized service based on individual needs, and
  • to empower every person to live as independently as possible.

We aim to do this through comprehensive assessment and a structured approach to the needs of people with autistic spectrum conditions.

We provide a therapeutic activity based programme and social education with a multi-cultural approach. We apply the principles of Positive Behaviour Support to enable our service users to lead full and active lives whilst promoting their safety, dignity and self-worth.

With a staffing ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 our staff team will work with high quality standards and their skills and knowledge will constantly be updated through our comprehensive training programme.

It is our duty to ensure that the equal opportunities policy encompasses all members of St. Mark’s Day Service, including students, parents, staff and visitors.
